About
Our Mission
Our mission is to support pediatric families facing daily medical battles by providing comfort, resources, and moments of hope during some of life’s most difficult seasons. Inspired by our family’s experience at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, we are committed to serving children, families, and the healthcare professionals who care for them with compassion and purpose.
Through direct partnerships with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Atlanta’s Ronald McDonald Houses, we work to ease the emotional, physical, and financial burdens placed on families navigating serious childhood illness. By funding child life programs, supporting family-centered care initiatives, and offering meaningful acts of encouragement to caregivers and medical teams, we strive to be a steady source of light, strength, and support for those facing challenges no family ever expects—while also uplifting pediatric families in our local Rome, GA community.

Our Vision
What began as a deeply personal family decision to give back to the place that changed our lives has grown into a mission rooted in gratitude, compassion, and hope. In 2019, shortly after the birth of our middle son, our world was shaken as we spent weeks in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta due to a congenital heart defect. It was there that we witnessed extraordinary acts of care, the resilience of children, and the quiet heroism of healthcare professionals—planting the seed for BrightLight Foundation.
In the years that followed, our journey continued alongside families facing childhood cancer, cardiothoracic and neurosurgeries, orthopedic therapy, and countless other inpatient challenges. Through direct partnership with CHOA, we have been able to support Child Life Specialists, enhance hospital playrooms, provide entertainment for inpatient children, offer snacks and drinks to families, support Ronald McDonald House Charities, recognize nurses, and bring moments of comfort through meals and care packages.
Our vision is to be a small but meaningful bright light for children, families, and healthcare professionals navigating battles no one ever expects to face—bringing comfort, joy, and hope during the darkest days of inpatient care.
